Local elections, 9 and 10 October 2026

Středokluky works
and will continue to do so

A well-run village does not happen by chance. We want to carry on, and to spend the next four years working together, responsibly and professionally.

  • Together
  • Responsibly
  • Professionally

Who we are

An association of independent candidates

Our list has 9 candidates and none of us belongs to a political party: the current mayor, Jaroslav Paznocht, three sitting councillors and five neighbours standing for the first time. What we have in common is that we live here and already put work into the village, in the Sokol sports club, with the volunteer fire brigade, on the school board and at events for children and neighbours.

We are not a new party. We have run the municipality for the past four years, and this site sets out what we achieved, with costs, photographs and sources of funding. We are standing again to finish what we have started and to get the village ready for the years ahead.

The candidates of Pro Středokluky

What we have done

The past four years

  • 23 projects finished or under way
  • nearly CZK 100 million invested
  • CZK 8 million raised in grants

The bigger items include:

  • rebuilt specialist classrooms, an accessible toilet and new cloakrooms at the school
  • a bigger school kitchen and dining room, so the school can feed everyone it teaches
  • buying the Kubrova School site, roughly 15,000 m² of land and three buildings
  • the first bus stops for Černovičky, with scheduled buses running since early 2024
  • safer roads: a new pedestrian crossing on Lidická street, work on the crossroads, new surfaces
  • new public space in the centre of the village, with benches, bins and planting
  • holding water in the landscape, new trees and repairs to the ponds
  • equipment for the volunteer fire brigade, including a trailer, and a better fire station
  • land-use studies for the development areas, so that building is planned rather than improvised

Every project, with its cost and how it was paid for, is listed under Co se podařilo, in Czech.

What we want next

7 areas for the coming term

  1. the school, the nursery school and the sports grounds
  2. safe and pleasant public spaces
  3. sensible development of the village, and looking after its water
  4. a professional municipal office that prepares projects early enough to apply for grants
  5. somewhere for every generation to spend their free time
  6. safety, including support for the fire brigade and a plan for CCTV
  7. maintenance of the village done systematically

These are steps the municipality can take itself, not a list of wishes. The full programme is under Co chceme dál, in Czech.

Can you vote here?

Voting in the local elections

The elections take place on Friday 9 and Saturday 10 October 2026, and nine seats on the municipal council are being filled.

Citizens of the Czech Republic who are registered as residents of Středokluky can vote. Citizens of other European Union countries registered as residents here can vote in municipal elections too, but they must apply to be added to the supplementary voter roll before election day. Citizens of countries outside the European Union generally cannot vote in Czech municipal elections.

This is a short summary, not legal advice. Please check your own situation with the municipal office in Středokluky, or with the registration authority, the municipal office in Hostivice.
